Affordable Housing Initiative Gains Momentum in Milwaukee
A sum of $2.5 million in state and federal tax credits has been granted by the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority for the construction of a 96-apartment building in Milwaukee’s Walker’s Point neighborhood. The project, designed by Kahler Slater, is set to rise four stories at First Street and National Avenue, featuring ground-floor retail spaces. This initiative forms part of the broader drive to enhance affordable housing in the community.
