After a year of renovations, the former New Holland Apartments is relaunching as The Verander, a restored, low-income housing community in downtown Danville. Enhancements include structural stabilization, modernized interiors, a new community room, fitness space, co-working area, and a renovated courtyard, with the home count refined from 47 to 44 units. The five-story, Dutch/early 20th-century revival building remains income-restricted and accepts Section 8 vouchers, with leasing handled by Bedrock Property Management. The new name—Dutch for “change” or “transform”—reflects both preservation and progress for a local favorite.
