Tax Credits Advance Affordable Senior Housing in Machesney Park
Machesney Park Senior Commons has reached a major milestone after receiving Low-Income Housing Tax Credits from the Illinois Housing Development Authority. The planned three-story, 40-unit apartment community at 7633 Perryville Road will serve residents ages 62 and older, helping expand affordable senior housing options in the village. Bear Development and Greenprint Partners are advancing the project, with construction expected to begin in 2027 and first residents anticipated in 2028.
