New Duplex Layout Proposed for Mount Pleasant
Plans for a 60.7-acre residential development along Braun Road in Mount Pleasant have been revised to feature 95 single-family lots and 238 duplex lots. The updated design eliminates direct driveway connections along South Oakes Road in favor of private rear alleys, addressing concerns about traffic flow. The proposal also incorporates pedestrian and bicycle access to the Pike River corridor. Village staff has recommended conditional approval, with further engineering, traffic and site-planning requirements remaining before construction begins.
